A fun program for babies and toddlers ages 0-2 and their caregivers. Winter session dates are here!!
Saturday mornings
Winter Sessions: Session 1: January 11th, 12-1:30PM – Nature Memory Boxes
Session 2: February 1st, 12-1:30PM – Garden Babies Adventure & Plant Science
Session 3: March 1st, 12-1:30PM – Wildlife Treasure Hunt & Nature Immersion
Cost: $20 per 1-day session, or $50 for all 3 sessions ($10 savings). Cost is per family – More than 1 caregiver and child can be included in a family. We recommend having 1 caregiver per child if more than 1 child is in your family.
Location: The location may vary for each session date, but will be held at either one of our Forest School locations in south Gainesville or a local natural area.
The expected flow for each morning will include:
- Opening Circle Time with welcome, songs, and story
- Activity or Adventure of the day
- Closing Circle Time and Reflections

Each Session will have different activities. Prairie Babies is exclusively outdoors and will utilize outdoor shelters if it is raining. Hiking will still take place in the rain, so rain gear or umbrellas may be used.
*Our Winter Sessions will not include yoga*
Sensory Play – Sensory play will engage all of your baby’s 5 senses using natural materials and will be a great way for you to learn new ways to play with your baby at home.
Hiking – Hiking is a great way to be outdoors, exercise, and spend time with your baby. Hikes are beginner to intermediate level and will include guidance on how to hike comfortably with your little one.
Yoga – Led by a certified yoga instructor, you and your baby will be led through a fun and calming yoga practice.
